  • Rogelio Aguilar, senior consultant, cyber resilience, security & privacy – Sungard Availability Services UK

Rogelio studied Cybernetics and Computing Sciences in Mexico City, and gained an MSc in Information Security in London. His areas of specialisation include Information Risk Management, Cyber Resilience, Data Governance and Regulatory Compliance.  He brings 20 years’ experience in the IT industry working with clients from the energy, financial, retail, broadcasting, transport, telecommunication, legal and education sectors in Europe and the Americas.

  • Chris Butler, principal consultant, cyber resilience & security, Sungard Availability Services UK

Following a 20-year Army career in aviation, security and counter-terrorism, Chris moved into consulting where he leads the development of services that integrate traditional information security products within a wider framework of organisational and cyber resilience.

He initially worked with a leading oil/gas firm helping major projects to close out and learn from experience before moving into the nuclear sector. Working in security and resilience, Chris provided expert consultancy covering crisis, emergency and incident management; policies and plans for preparedness and response.


  • Daren Howell, senior marketing manager, sales enablement global, Sungard Availability Services UK

Daren Howell is an IT Services Product Marketing/Proposition professional with more than 16 years’ experience in proposition, product and services marketing management. This spans strategy, research, innovation service development and launch processes at UK, European and global levels of operation. Daren specialises in developing strategies, taking new services to market and collaborating with the rest of the business and partners to achieve a successful launch.

  • Ron Miller, principal consultant, Sungard Availability Services UK

In his capacity of representing trade association Tech UK, Ron Miller has been intimately involved in IT standards development relating to information security, helping define several of the ISO 27000 family of standards. Previously, in a similar arrangement, Ron helped to define the business continuity management standard BS 25999, now ISO 22301, as well as chairing the committee that wrote the standard for IT Disaster Recovery BS 25777 and editing its successor ISO 27031.
